Terms and Conditions for Suzanne Bedford Photography

By booking a photoshoot with Suzanne Bedford Photography, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Booking and Payment

  • A booking is confirmed upon payment of the deposit. The deposit is non-refundable unless agreed otherwise.

  • Full payment is due on the day of the photoshoot or as specified in the invoice prior to the session.

  • All prices are inclusive of VAT, where applicable.

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your shoot, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. If this is not done, you may lose your deposit or be subject to additional fees.

  • In the event of illness, severe weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, Suzanne Bedford Photography will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.

3. Photoshoot Duration

  • The duration of your photoshoot is based on the package you select. Any additional time required will incur extra charges.

4. Rights & Usage of Images

  • Ownership and Copyright: All photographs taken by Suzanne Bedford Photography remain the intellectual property of Suzanne Bedford Photography. As the artist, Suzanne retains the copyright to all images, including those captured during the photoshoot.

  • Usage Rights: The client is granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the delivered images for personal use only. This includes printing and sharing with family and friends. The images may not be sold, modified, or used for any commercial purpose without Suzanne's prior written consent.

  • Photographer’s Rights to Use Images: Suzanne Bedford Photography reserves the right to use any images from the photoshoot for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the photographer’s website, social media accounts, portfolio, and marketing materials, unless the client specifically requests, in writing, at the time of booking, that images not be used for such purposes.

  • Commercial Use: If the client intends to use the images for commercial purposes (e.g., advertising, brand promotion, etc.), they must seek prior written permission from Suzanne Bedford Photography. Commercial use may incur additional fees.

  • Client and Third-Party Publications: Any work, whether the client or a third party, using the images from Suzanne Bedford Photography must credit Suzanne Bedford as the photographer. This includes publications in print, online, and across social media platforms.

5. Image Delivery and Retention

  • Images will be delivered in the agreed format, typically via an online gallery, within the timeframe outlined in your contract.

  • Suzanne Bedford Photography will retain a copy of all photos for her portfolio and promotional purposes for a period of 12 months after the shoot date.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • The client is responsible for ensuring all persons being photographed are aware of and consent to the photoshoot.

  • Clients should arrive at the photoshoot on time to ensure that the full session can be completed within the allocated time.

7. Additional Charges for Editing Requests

  • Any requests for additional editing or retouching beyond the initial edits agreed upon will incur an additional charge. The cost for additional editing is up to £30 per photo, depending on the complexity and scope of the work required.

  • Additional editing requests will be discussed and agreed upon with the client before any work is completed.

8. Liability

  • While Suzanne Bedford Photography makes every effort to capture the highest quality images, the photographer is not liable for any technical failure, illness, or injury during the photoshoot.

  • Suzanne Bedford Photography will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal items during the shoot.

9. Confidentiality

  • Suzanne Bedford Photography agrees to handle all client information with confidentiality. Your personal details will never be shared with third parties without your consent, except as necessary for fulfilling the contract (e.g., payment processing).

10. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
